Practice: Bill Maer’s practice focuses on environmental litigation, with an emphasis on cost recovery claims at contaminated sites.
Experience: Mr. Maer has been an environmental lawyer for more than 35 years. He has represented clients in all areas of environmental law, including CERCLA, MTCA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, NEPA and their state counterparts. His clients have included oil, pipeline and mining/smelting companies, wood preservers, structural steel contractors, pulp mills, railroads, truck manufacturers and hazardous waste management companies. He has represented clients in cost recovery and toxic tort litigation in Washington and Alaska state courts and federal courts in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Illinois, Texas and Oklahoma.
Education: University of Texas (B.A.) and University of Texas Law School (LL.B).
Memberships: Admitted to practice in Washington, Alaska, Colorado and Texas and member of the bar associations of those states.
