Practice: Maureen Mitchell's practice includes environmental regulatory work and litigation, as well as commercial litigation and resolving business disputes.

Experience: Maureen has successfully represented individuals, corporations, and tribes in litigation at administrative hearings and in trial and appellate courts. Her litigation practice has particular emphasis on commercial disputes, insurance, real estate, environmental, land use and Indian law. Maureen's environmental work involves RCRA, CERCLA (including Natural Resource Damage claims), Model Toxics Control Act, Clean Water Act, SEPA/NEPA and water rights. She has experience litigating in both state and federal courts, as well as arbitration. She also speaks fluent Russian. Pro bono: Maureen has volunteered for immigration clients who are domestic violence victims seeking legal status in United States and for low-income clients whose cars were impounded.

Education: Smith College (B.A. 1995), University of Washington School of Law (J.D. 2000). During law school, Maureen was Executive Articles Editor for the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal. Law Clerk for the Honorable H. Joseph Coleman at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division One.

Memberships: Washington State Bar Association; King County Bar Association. Admitted to practice in the Western District of Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Maureen is currently a Board Member of the Crisis Clinic.
