Memberships: Richard joined the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators in August 2004. He currently serves as the Director of Communications where he oversees Soundings (the chapter newsletter), website development, and marketing and public relations for the chapter.

Richard has also joined QLaw (GLBT Bar Association of Washington) as a non-lawyer member of this minority bar association. In May 2009 Richard was elected by the QLaw members as the first non-lawyer to sit on the QLaw Board of Directors for a two year term and is currently Vice President on the Executive Committee.
