THE RIGHT INCENTIVE

Summit Law Group’s value adjustment line is a cornerstone of our billing approach. We empower each of our customers with the right to adjust our billing, upward or downward, based on our customer’s perception of the value received, not ours.

Because of our creative and successful approach to complex legal matters and because we do not “churn” fees by working unwarranted hours, our customers have in fact used the value adjustment line over the years to pay us more than we have billed them. Is that how you feel about your current law firm?

We are also open to any creative billing arrangement that is fair. Some of the billing structures we offer customers include:

  • Value-based billings with incentives for results that exceed expectations;
  • Monthly retainers for day-to-day advice; and
  • Percentage fees, success-based fees and other fee incentives to achieve your goals.

We do not pass through overhead charges. Unlike most other firms, our customers do not pay for typical long-distance telephone calls, internal copying charges, local travel, standard U.S. postage or even the significant charges associated with our use of most legal research databases. We think those costs are properly part of our overhead, not an opportunity to profit from “mark-ups” or a way to pass overhead inefficiencies through to our customers.

Our goal is to create a legal practice that serves your needs, not ours.
