Negotiating Contracts on Tribal Lands

Summit Partner Maureen Mitchell will be presenting at National Business Institute's one-day live seminar "Negotiating Contracts on Tribal Lands" on October 17, 2016 in Tacoma, and then again on October 20, 2016 in Seattle. Maureen's presentation, "Tribal Water Rights," will include discussion on the federal reserved water rights doctrine, including the purpose of the reservation, quantification and tribal transference of water rights, tribal water codes, handling water compact issues, and using settlements to ensure water access.
