Profile Introduction
Britaney is a value-driven litigator, committed to delivering strategic advice, personalized solutions, and steadfast advocacy to her clients. Born into a family of entrepreneurs, she has firsthand knowledge of the impact regulation, legislation, and litigation can have on business objectives. With these factors in mind, she takes a holistic approach to her clients' needs, providing solutions that address immediate legal needs as well as long-term business goals.
Britaney represents a broad range of clients, including organizations operating in highly regulated industries such as healthcare and finance, as well as startups, emerging growth companies, and public-sector entities. Among other matters, she has counseled clients on labor and employment issues, commercial contracts and agreements, commercial torts, and regulatory compliance. She works with clients at every step in the process, helping businesses identify, avoid and mitigate potential risks and exposure, responding to regulatory and law-enforcement inquiries and investigations, and handling all stages of litigation, from pre-trial filings to appeals.
Over the course of her career, Britaney has developed particular experience in rapidly evolving markets and technologies, which often give rise to social issues and legal disputes that outpace legislative and regulatory action, such as administrative action related to legalization of medical and recreational cannabis, and disputes involving religious accommodations with respect to vaccines.
After earning her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, Britaney began her legal career as a judicial clerk on both the Washington Court of Appeals and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, where she worked closely with judges on a wide range of civil, criminal, and administrative matters. This experience gives her invaluable insight into the judicial decision-making process where she allies with clients involved in state and federal litigation. Britaney’s clerkship experience instilled the value of compelling brief writing, sophisticated legal analysis, and, above all, being the most prepared in the room. These values form the cornerstones of her practice.
In her spare time, Britaney enjoys yoga, organic gardening and road-tripping to parts unknown.
