Profile Introduction

Jami has over ten years of experience serving as in-house counsel to real estate development companies, including one of the Puget Sound's largest local home builders.  Serving as in-house counsel has provided her with practical real estate and business experience, and a deep knowledge of the day-to-day issues experienced by builders and developers.  Having an attorney who understands the intricacies of developing real estate and operating a business, as well as the law, is a significant advantage for Jami's clients.

Jami's practice focuses on providing advice and assistance to clients in all aspects of real estate transactions and real estate development, including property acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence and feasibility analyses, development strategies, environmental review, permitting and administrative proceedings, contracting, homeowners' associations, commercial leasing, project financing, and business entity formation and management.

Jami has advised clients on a wide range of policy and regulatory issues including compliance with subdivision regulations, national and state environmental laws; flood plain regulations; critical area regulations; Endangered Species Act compliance; shorelines; water rights; Growth Management and zoning; and historic landmark designations.  Jami has helped clients prepare and process development proposals for subdivisions, town homes, apartments, commercials sites, master planned developments, gravel pits, and vineyards.

In her spare time Jami is an avid outdoorswoman.  She lives in rural southeast King County close to Crystal Mountain where she likes to ski and snowboard, mountain bike, horse ride and practice yoga.  She also competes in hunter/jumper equestrian competitions.
