Legal Assistant - Real Estate

Summit Law Group is seeking a Legal Assistant with 5+ years’ experience to join our team of highly efficient and effective attorneys and staff in our real estate group.  Candidates that share our values of customer service, integrity, mutual respect, and high expectations of themselves and their teammates are encouraged to apply. 

Essential Duties

  • Fosters open and frequent communication with team, customers and management to ensure consistent and reliable support.
  • Provides superior customer service both internally and externally, displaying a proactive, “can do” attitude.
  • Onboard new clients and matters following departmental and firm procedures, including conflict checks.
  • Drafts, edits, proofreads and finalizes correspondence, documents, presentations and other materials.
  • Proactively schedules and organizes onsite and offsite meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, client proposals and events. 
  • Coordinate domestic and foreign travel including hotel, flights, and car rentals; prepare travel itineraries and materials needed during travel.
  • Actively contributes team and firm related activities.  Participates in meetings, lunch and learns, and other knowledge sharing activities, as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Real Estate experience preferred.
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, staff and all levels of firm personnel.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and focus on appropriate solutions.
  • Must be flexible and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and calendaring skills.
  • Demonstrate ongoing attention to detail, responsiveness and accountability.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
