Mid-Level Litigation Attorney

THE OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced litigator to join our general litigation practice, which handles a wide variety of complex commercial matters. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of litigation experience, including managing all phases of pre-trial litigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. This role requires superior analytical, writing, and advocacy skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and professionals in a team-based approach to maximizing value for our clients.  Members of our team are regularly involved in high-stakes disputes in federal court, state court, and arbitral tribunals.  

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Member of the Washington State Bar Association (or able to obtain Washington State Bar Association membership within a reasonable period)
• Washington resident, or planning to relocate to the Seattle area
• 4-8 years of litigation experience
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Strong drafting skills, ideally including pleadings, written discovery, and motions
• Interest in joining firm membership, given Summit’s all-member model

Preferred

• Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and appearing in court, administrative hearings, and/or arbitrations
• Judicial clerkship
