Court of Appeals Victory

Congratulations to Mike Bolasina and Peter Altman who garnered a total victory for Summit client City of Pullman in a decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The case stemmed from an investigation of hostile work environment and retaliation claims filed by certain firefighters with the Pullman City Fire Department. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington granted summary judgment on all plaintiffs’ federal constitutional and state law claims, while the claims of retaliation proceeded to trial. On May 27, 2015, the Ninth Circuit affirmed the District Court’s judgment entered in favor of the City.
