Summit Law Group Announces C-Suite Transition

Summit Law Group PLLC, a trusted law firm at both the regional and national levels, today announced the completion of its leadership transition. Kristin D. Anger, one of the firm’s original founders, elected to end her three-year term as Chief Executive Officer in December 2025, and on January 1, 2026, the role officially transitioned to J. Chad Mitchell.

“It’s been an honor to serve in a leadership role for such an incredibly talented group of attorneys and staff members,” said Kristin Anger, who has since returned to her labor and employment practice full-time. “But change brings fresh ideas and energy, and I’m excited to see how the next generation of Summit’s leadership will support and enhance our commitment to exceptional client service.”

Founded in Seattle in 1997, Summit Law Group’s democratic approach to top leadership ensures a collegial succession every three years when Summit’s membership—currently comprised of 38 partners—votes on its incoming C-Suite, who may also serve multiple or consecutive terms. This equitable process promotes diversity and reflects the firm’s integrity and values, fostering notable advantages that have become hallmarks of Summit’s reputation as a leading law firm.

“I am thrilled about Summit’s future,” said Chad Mitchell. “This firm is powered by exceptional people who care deeply about their work, our clients, and the communities we serve. We are proud to partner with clients who are making an impact.”

Having served as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer for the past three years, Chad Mitchell, an esteemed litigator, is uniquely prepared and qualified to take on the work ahead alongside his successor, Heath Dixon, a technology and commercial transactions attorney.

“Summit is nimble, creative, and built to help our clients succeed in a fast-moving, unpredictable world,” Mitchell continued. “We have a soul that will continue to lead, inspire, and set the bar for what a modern law firm can be in Seattle and across Washington State. No one compares.”
