Overview

Andrew Myerberg is a seasoned litigator and advisor with a focus on labor and employment law, government affairs, and public sector representation. 

Andrew works with municipalities, government agencies, and non-profits on collective bargaining, employment litigation, investigations, state and local legislative matters, and policy advocacy.

C-suite and Senior Executive counsel.  With nearly 20 years of public sector experience, Andrew has advised chief executives, elected officials, and department heads on legislative and policy strategy, collective bargaining, employment, risk mitigation, and potential and active litigation.

Before joining Summit, Andrew served as Chief of Staff and Policy Director for Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, advising the 12,000-employee municipal organization on a range of labor and employment issues, including collective bargaining, workplace investigations, and personnel matters. He also directed the Seattle Office of Police Accountability and represented government clients in state and federal litigation in Washington and New York.

Policy strategy, development, and advocacy.  Andrew works alongside clients to develop successful legislation and policies informed by his deep understanding of government operations and policies. His advocacy reflects his ability to build effective coalitions focused on achieving policy, legislative, and operational goals.

Employment counsel and workplace investigations.  Andrew advises on a full range of employment issues, specifically workplace investigation and systemic reviews, given his significant expertise in law enforcement discipline and police accountability practices and procedures. As an agency director, he oversaw over a thousand disciplinary investigations and personnel matters, including high-profile and termination cases.

Litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings. Andrew represents clients in federal and state court litigation arising from discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, and other claims. Andrew also represents clients in administrative hearings and arbitrations, with a focus on law enforcement discipline cases.
