Wage and Hour Law Fundamentals (120 minutes)
Training provides a comprehensive understanding of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Washington's Minimum Wage Act.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the following:
- Federal and state overtime laws, including recent developments;
- Classifying workers as "exempt" or "nonexempt";
- In and outs of compensatory time;
- Importance of proper recording and documentation of time records;
- Meal and rest break requirements; and
- Strategies for dealing with overtime and other wage problems.
