Profile Introduction

Summit’s Litigation Group Chair, Diana Siri Breaux, is a seasoned and unrelenting advocate.  She focuses her practice on complex commercial and intellectual property disputes, where she has a significant track record championing her clients’ legal interests in the technology, ecommerce, retail, real estate, and financial industries.  Drawing on her experience practicing before state and federal courts across the county, Diana thoughtfully applies her deep understanding of the law to achieve her clients’ preferred outcomes, whether that involves scaling up for a bet-the-company, high-profile matter or discretely negotiating a favorable settlement.

Diana is a stand-out in the Seattle legal community for her unique combination of legal acumen, strategic focus, and dedication to client service.  She is routinely recognized for these strengths, most recently ranked among the top 50 women attorneys in Washington state.  A Seattle native, Diana began her career at an internationally recognized firm in Manhattan, where she litigated high-stakes intellectual property matters through trial and appeal.  When she returned to Seattle to join a litigation boutique, Diana quickly developed a reputation as a stellar litigator both on the briefs and in the courtroom, a reputation she maintains tackling her clients’ diverse set of litigation challenges.  As confirmed by the many clients who repeatedly return to her for litigation counsel, she is a lawyer that both businesses and individuals are glad to have in their corner from before a dispute goes to litigation through the end of an appellate process.

Diana’s active and diverse pro bono practice is a natural outgrowth of her commitment to social justice and expanded access to legal services. Before entering law school, she served as a research analyst at Manpower Development Research Corporation, a non-profit public policy research firm, where she authored numerous publications on anti-poverty initiatives. Since entering private practice, Diana has represented asylum candidates in Immigration Court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and represented incarcerated individuals seeking post-conviction relief. She has also written and submitted amicus briefs to the Washington Supreme Court in matters involving civil liberties, tribal rights and other issues.
